Coach Request

• Jonny has asked that those swimming in Saturday's meet leave the pool on Friday night no later than 7:30. Ideally, as soon as the social is over. Rest and an early bedtime is important for all of our swimmers!

Team Meeting - Friday, July 10, 6pm

Swim Team and PreTeam - join your teammates and coaches for our weekly Friday Team Meeting! Our Coaches will announce Demon Droppers, Swimmers of the Week, Time Droppers of the Week and Spirit Award Winners!

Team Social- Directly after the team meeting

• Shaving Cream Wars is the social following the team meeting and posters. Swimmers should bring 2 cans of shaving cream and MUST wear goggles to participate! Once the wars are over, swimmers MUST be hosed off before they will be allowed to enter the pool. The hose water will be cold; if swimmers do not want to be hosed off, they should not participate. Thanks in advance for your understanding!
• There is still one more volunteer spot for the social that is open.

A Meet - AWAY this Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Garrett Park

• Saturday’s A Meet Lineup will be emailed to the team later today/tonight. Please check the line-up!! If your swimmer(s) is on the line up and cannot attend, please let me or Jonny ASAP so that opportunity can be given to another swimmer. 
• Please sign up to volunteer if your swimmer makes the A meet - there are still positions open.

A Meet Details

Location: 4427 Cambria Ave, Garrett Park, MD

We will meet in the PW parking lot at 7:30am to check in; once you arrive to the PW lot, please check in with a coach. Feel free to decorate your cars to show your PW team spirit! We will leave PW by 7:45am and head to GP as a team. Once at GP, we will gather in the parking lot as a team and walk into the meet together.

If you do not plan to meet at PW and caravan to Garrett Park, please email me to let me know so I do not call you early on Saturday to ask where you are!!

Arrive at PW to Check in and Caravan to the Meet: 7:30am

Leave PW Parking Lot: 7:45am

Meet at Garrett Park: 8:10am

Warm Ups: 8:25am

Stroke and Turn Officials Briefing with the Referee: 8:30am

Timers briefing with the Head Timer and/or Starter: 8:30am

Theme: Minions

Concessions: They will have a concession stand selling coffee, drinks, donuts and other breakfast food and snacks. NO CASH - credit cards, venmo, paypal, apple & google wallet all accepted.

Parking: The parking lot is reserved for the visiting team. There is also parking on Cambria and Raleigh Ave and, if needed, across Strathmore on Clermont and Keswick St. Please be mindful of no parking signs, yellow curbs and residents’ driveways. The roads are small and it is important that there is enough clearance for emergency vehicles to get through. There will be parking attendants to assist. Banquet Reminder

Pizza must be pre ordered by July 13th, there will be no pizzas or slices available to purchase at the banquet.

RSVP- $5 fee per family at time of RSVP and order Paisanos Pizza at a discounted price by Monday, July 13th.  Everyone must pay the $5 fee if you are planning to attend.

Looking ahead

• The last day of regular morning season swim practice is Wednesday, July 15th and afternoon practice will be Monday, July 13th.  
• Divisionals practices for swimmers swimming in Divisionals or All Stars will be all ages from 8:30-9:30am on Thursday, July 16th, 8:30-10:00am on Friday, July 17th or 5-6pm on Wednesday, July 15th and Thursday, July 16th.
• The Sarah Auer Mini Meet is this Sunday for 10 and unders.  If you want to swim in this charity meet for one of Jonny's former colleagues in Poolesville, it's not too late to sign up.  
• The B Relay Carnival is this Tuesday, July 14th and Wednedsday is the rain date.
