Jonny Leong Head Coach

I love Potomac Woods. I started swimming here in the Summer of 1989, and can’t remember a summer when I was not here. I have literally grown up at Potomac Woods doing everything from landscaping, stocking the vending machines, lifeguarding, managing the pool, assistant coaching, and my favorite, being the Head Coach of the Potomac Woods Demons. It has been a great honor and pleasure to work with and teach the children in our community. I hope the same passion and love for the sport of swimming is passed on to each group of kids as we watch them develop from Pre-Teamers to graduating team members.

In the other boring part of the year (who knew there were 10 other months?!?) I teach at Poolesvillie HS where I coach the Poolesville HS Swim and Dive team. I also coach throughout the year for Rockville Montgomery Swim Club at the Olney Swim Center.

Audrey Csokmay Assistant Coach

My name is Audrey and I’m so excited to be an Assistant Coach for Potomac Woods this summer! My family joined PW in 2013 and I have been swimming there ever since! I've also competed for RMSC, Richard Montgomery High School and Gettysburg College, where I just finished my sophomore year. This past season I earned second-team All-Conference Honors & was named to the DIII Academic All-District team. Aside from my own swimming career, I’ve been a volunteer and junior coach with PW since 2016 and an Assistant Coach for FINS since 2020. Looking forward to a fun season and can’t wait to share my love for PW with you all!

Meghan Maloney Assistant Coach

My name is Meghan, and I’m thrilled to be returning to Potomac Woods this summer as an Assistant Swim Coach. I was a member of the PW swim team for 10 years and graduated in 2019, and I’m so excited to give back to the community that shaped my love for swimming. I graduated from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Early Childhood Education. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at McDaniel College.

I have three years of experience as a swim instructor and currently work as a first-grade assistant teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes, where I also support children with Down syndrome. I am passionate about working with kids and helping them grow in and out of the pool. I’m looking forward to a great, fun season and can’t wait to reconnect with the PW family!

Madison Heitzmann Assistant Coach

My name is Madison, and I’m really excited to be an Assistant Coach at Potomac Woods this summer.

My family joined Potomac Woods in 2022 after many years at King Farm, and I have loved being part of the team ever since. Swimming has been a big part of my life. I’ve been in the water as long as I can remember and have been swimming on a summer team since kindergarten. I swam year-round with RMSC for 10 years and also competed for the Richard Montgomery High School swim team, where I was a captain my senior year.

I just finished my freshman year at Penn State, where I’m majoring in Psychology.

I really enjoy working with younger swimmers and helping them improve their strokes while building confidence in the water. I’ve been a junior coach at Potomac Woods since joining the team, and I’ve also coached at the Montgomery Stroke Clinic since 2023.

I’m looking forward to a fun season and getting to know all of our swimmers!
