Week 4 2026 Swim Team Information
Hello, Demon Families!!
Buckle up, this is a long email!
Potomac Woods went to Calverton yesterday for our third A Meet of the season. Congratulations to all of our swimmers that worked hard to get best times and bring home a second win! Final Score – Potomac Woods 434, Calverton 350. A special congratulations to Tessa Bowen for breaking the Calverton pool record in the Girls 11-12 50 Meter Freestyle with a time of 29.66!!
And, congratulations to all of our relay swimmers this morning! We hosted over 400 people at our pool this morning! A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who helped get the pool ready last tonight and today, cooked, cleaned, put up tents, timed, officiated, and got drenched in the rain all to help make the relay carnival run smoothly. There were also a lot of non-swimming Demons and families who came out to cheer for us in the rain, thank you! We placed second out of six teams and had 4 relay teams who got first! Most of these relay teams will be going to All Star relays on July 25th!
- Girls 14 & under 175 Meter Freestyle- Mackenzie Schaefer, Alexa Drunsic, Tessa Bowen & Andie Young
- Mixed 11-12 200 Meter Freestyle- Samara Jayawardhane, Tyler Schaffer, Hugh Cohen & Tessa Bowen

- Girls Open 250 Meter Freestyle Relay Crescendo--Mackenzie Schaefer, Tessa Bowen, Lily Heitzmann, Andie Young & Alexa Drunsic
I would be remiss if I didn't also mention the parent relay who placed first! For the first time since I've been a rep, the parent relay was on a first come, first serve basis and I had to turn people away! Congratulations to Susan Kim, Jon Wood, Adam Bookman and Jonny Leong for a first place finish. If anyone happens to have the relay on video on video, please email it to Jonny.
Results have been posted on the home page of our Team Website.
There is a lot of information in this email- please read carefully through it.
