Week 6 Swim Team Information
Hello, PW Families!!
Potomac Woods traveled to Kenmont yesterday for our final dual meet of our season! Final Score – Potomac Woods 413, Kenmont 373. We are 4-1!! Results have been posted on the home page of our Team Website.
We also had a very fun and successful Mini Meet this morning honoring Sarah Auer. Thank you to all the families and swimmers who came out and supported the cause. It was great to see so many young swimmers dropping time and trying new events!
B Relay Carnival - Tuesday, July 15 at Country Glen
We will be attending the B Relay Carnival on Tuesday, July 15 at Country Glen Pool. This is a really fun event in which the entire team participates. Please declare if your swimmer is available by 12:00 Noon Monday. This is important so that Jonny can make sure he gets everyone into the event that is attending and doesn't have to scramble to find swimmers who are not there on Tuesday.
- Meet Theme: RED Out
- Arrive by: 5:30pm (No warm-ups)
- Meet Start: 6:00 pm
- Chairs: Bring your own! It will be a crowded meet so please plan accordingly.
- Parent Relay: If you are interested in swimming in the parent relay, please contact Ellen Weiss.
Weekly Practice
See below for details, the last regular season practice for all swimmers is Wednesday.
Monday AM- Normal times for all swimmers
Monday PM- No practice, Andie's Swim-a-thon
Tuesday AM- Normal times for all swimmers
Tuesday PM- No practices, B Relay Carnival at Country Glen
Wednesday- Morning & Afternoon, normal times for all swimmers (even though we don't usually have Wednesday afternoon practices, the times are the same as they usually are)
Thursday- Divisional Swimmers only 8:45-9:45am or 6:00-7:00PM
Friday AM- Divisional Swimmers only 8:45-10:15AM (no PM practices)
Swim Banquet
Let’s honor our swimmers, coaches, and families with an evening of awards, memories, and fun. Pizza may be purchased when RSVP’ing, and families are welcome! There are still volunteer opportunities for the banquet if you are still trying to earn volunteer points for the season!
- RSVP- $5 fee per family at time of RSVP and order Paisanos Pizza at a discounted price by Tuesday, July 15th. You RSVP on the pool website, not the team SwimTopia site this year.
Don't forget the team is going to Smurfs Friday at 12:00 at Montgomery Mall!
