Hello, Potomac Woods Swim Team Families!

The 2025 summer swim season is just one week away! Here are some reminders and information for the season:

Swim Team Regular Season: Monday, May 26 through Tuesday, July 17.

PreTeam Season: Monday, June 2 through Friday, July 11.

Little Demons Season: Thursday, June 19 through Friday, July 11.

Practice Times can be found HERE. If your child is out of school on June 16th and 17th or not planning on attending, please attend morning practice on those days! If you have swimmer(s) who will be able to attend morning practice on those two days, please sign up here so our coaches know who and how many to expect.

Swim Team Kickoff and Parent Meeting – MONDAY, May 26 from 8:30 – 11:00 a.m.

• New Swimmer Evaluations 8:40 – 9:00 a.m.
• Purchase PW jibbitz & team caps: 9:00- 10:30 a.m (Jibbitz will be $2 each or three for $5, caps are $15 each- cash or Venmo)
• 1st Swim Team Practice (All Ages) 9:00 – 10:15 a.m
• Parent Meeting 9:45-10:0am
• Team Potluck 10:15 – 11:00 a.m. (please drop food off no later than 9:30am)
  • Families with last names beginning with A - L please bring Breakfast Food (bagels and cream cheese, baked goods, casseroles, etc. – store bought is fine!)
  • Families with last names beginning with M - S please bring Cut up Fruit
  • Families with last names beginning with T - Z please bring a case of Bottled Water
• Sharon Sutton will be on the mic and playing music all morning!

Team T-shirts

Our team t-shirts should be delivered and ready to be handed out on Memorial Day! Please be sure to label them AND keep them in a safe place! Swimmers will need to wear them for our team photo on June 6th.

Our fabulous social chair, Sharon Sutton, and our coaches have finalized the meet themes. Please check them out and start planning your attire now!

Meet Sign Up and Volunteering

Volunteering jobs are open for the potluck on May 26th! Time Trial jobs will open at noon on Monday, May 26th. Meet entries for swimmers are now OPEN. Please visit our website to sign your swimmers up to swim. Meet sign up instructions are on the website (Meet Sign Up Calendar Tab, Sign Up Instructions). Job entries for all of the other meets will open up after Time Trials. (If you are new, welcome and we will go over ALL of this and more at the parent meeting next Monday!)

Swim Topia App

Please consider downloading the SwimTopia app. You will get app notifications if practice is canceled due to storms or an emergency at the pool. You will also be able to sign up for meets, jobs and keep track of your child's times through the app. All events for the season will be there as well.

Interested in private lessons? 

Our swim team coaches are available for private lessons if you are interested.  Feel free to pass along this information to other PW pool members.
