Hello, PW Swim Team Families! We have a lot of information for you this week!

Great job to all of our swimmers and volunteers that participated in Time Trials yesterday! Your swimmer's results can be found under your account on the Team Website and the meet results in a PDF format can be found under the Meet Result tab of our homepage on the right side.

General Reminders

• Please encourage your swimmer to stay in the team area so the coaches can easily find them for their events and send them to the clerk of course. We also ask that parents do not go into the team area and stay there- it interfers with team bonding that happens when adults are on the other side of the pool watching.
• RMSC tryouts for Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center open on Monday. If you are interested in your swimmer trying out for RMSC's KSAC location, please register for a tryout. Registration dates for other county locations open in July. Please read the link for more information.
• Registration for Stroke and Turn Sunday night clinics in City of Rockville and City of Gaitherburg opens on Monday morning at 6:30AM. KSAC is undergoing a renovation so that location will be unavailable for stroke and turn for the upcoming year. Please keep this in mind if you are interested in stroke clinics over the year. Registration for other county sites will open later in the year (Olney Swim Center, Germantown Aquatic Center and MLK in Silver Spring). We will send that information out when we hear more about that date. 
• I'm happy to answer any questions about stroke and turn or RMSC (to the best of my ability) as my kids have done both.  Feel free to email me or find me at the pool. 
• Please RSVP for the PW/Daleview luncheon on June 22nd.
• Please do not take photos or videos from behind the start end of your swimmer's lane as it gets in the way of timers and officials. This is a USA Swimming rule not to take photos of other swimmers and is a swimmer safety concern.
• Job sign-ups for the B meets on June 12 and June 19th are now open.  The A meet job sign-up is now open for the meet on June 15th too.

Week 1 Information:

B Meet – AWAY - Wednesday, June 12 - at Country Glen

• Sign up NOW! Sign-ups CLOSE Monday, June 12 at 5 p.m. Please declare your swimmer’s attendance (attending/not attending) and sign up for their events. (You can declare and sign up for ALL meets for the entire season NOW). Sign up for any events your swimmer would like to swim and Jonny will adjust the line up as necessary.
• Sign up to Volunteer! Sign up to volunteer by 5pm on Monday.
• Meet Theme: Pirates of Potomac Woods
• Arrive by: 5:00pm
• Warm-ups: 5:20pm
• Officials and Timers Meetings: 5:30 pm
• Meet Start: 6:00 pm
• Hospitality will be available at the break for volunteers.

Team Meeting and Social – Friday, June 14

• Team Meeting - Join your teammates and coaches for our weekly Friday Team Meeting! Coaches Jonny, Sofie, Sophia and Audrey will be announcing Swimmers of the Week, Time Droppers of the Week and Spirit Award Winners!
• Team Social - Blob Tag - Meet the fabulous Sharon Sutton after the team meeting for a round of Blog Tag.

A Meet - AWAY this Saturday, June 15 at Garrett Park

• Please declare your swimmer’s availability (Available/Not available). Doing this helps Coach Jonny create the lineup with swimmers that we know are available. You can declare your swimmer’s availability for the entire season now if you know your schedule.  If you have not declared your availability, it will default to be unavailable when the coaches are creating the line-ups.
• Athlete sign-ups CLOSE Thursday, June 13 at 9:00AM.
• Top 3 PW swimmers in each of the stroke events and Top 6 PW swimmers in the freestyle events in each age group are chosen by Coach Jonny to swim in the A meet. 
• The tentative A Meet Lineup will be emailed on Thursday evening. Remember to check the lineup even if your swimmer is not the top 3 or top 6 in freestyle as the top swimmers may not be available to swim Saturday so your swimmer may be placed in the lineup.
• Please sign up to volunteer if your swimmer makes the A meet. If you volunteered and your swimmer is not swimming in the A meet, please cancel your volunteer job as soon as you know.
