Good morning, Demon Families!!

I inadvertently left Jackson Rankin off my list of graduating seniors in my email yesterday. My apologies to Jackson and his family! We will be celebrating Jackson along with the other seniors next Saturday! Please RSVP for the Senior lunch by Wednesday!

Potomac Woods visited Northwest Branch yesterday for our third A Meet of the season. Final Score – Potomac Woods 347, Northwest Branch 444. Results from yesterday have been posted on the home page of our Team Website.

Week 4 Information:

Tuesday - 4th of July Practice Schedule, Team Meeting AND Breakfast

• 8:30 - 9:30am: Swim Team Practice - ALL AGES
• 9:30-10:00 Breakfast
  • Families with last names beginning with A - L please bring Cut up Fruit (Bananas, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, etc.)
  • Families with last names beginning with M - S please bring Breakfast Baked Goods (Donuts, Bagels/Cream Cheese, Coffee Cake, Quiche, etc.)
  • Families with last names beginning with T - Z please bring Bottled Water or Juice Boxes
• Families will have to leave the pool deck at 10:00 and cannot leave personal belongings to save tables for the day.
• NO EVENING PRACTICE

B Meet – AWAY at River Falls this Wednesday, July 5! Please see Ellen Weiss' email from earlier today about this change.

• Sign-ups CLOSE Monday, July 3 at 6 p.m. Please declare your swimmer’s attendance (attending/not attending) and sign up for their events.
• Sign up to Volunteer!
• Meet Theme: Soccer Moms vs. BBQ dads
• Arrive by: 5:00pm
• Warm-ups: 5:20pm
• Officials and Timers Meetings: 5:30 pm
• Meet Start: 6:00 pm
• Hospitality: will be available for volunteers at the break.

Team Meeting and Social - Friday, July 7, 2023

• Team Meeting - 6:00pm
  • Join your teammates and coaches for our weekly Friday Team Meeting! Our Coaches will announce Swimmers of the Week, Time Droppers of the Week and Spirit Award Winners!

• Team Social - 6:30pm - Poster Party
  • Join your teammates in making posters and decorating for our graduating seniors, Alex Dugan, Audrey Csokmay, Christian Hicks, Sarah LaVan, Jackson Rankin and Aidan Wang.

A Meet - HOME this Saturday, July 8 versus Calverton - Senior Meet

• Sign-ups CLOSE Thursday, July 6 at Noon. Please declare your swimmer’s availability (Available/Not available). Doing this helps Coach Jonny create the lineup with swimmers that we know are available.
• Meet Lineup will be emailed on Thursday.
• Please sign up to volunteer if your swimmer makes the A meet.

A Relay Carnival - AWAY this Sunday, July 9 at Tanterra

• FUNNEST MEET OF THE SEASON! All 6 teams in Division H, All relays, All morning!
• Please declare your swimmer’s availability (Available/Not available) Thursday, July 6 at Noon. Doing this helps Coach Jonny create the lineup with swimmers that we know are available.
• If you are interested in being in the parent relay at the end, please email me back! This is such a fun end of meet race!

RMSC has posted their tryout information. If your swimmer is interested in possibly swimming for RMSC I would encourage you to sign up for a tryout (either on the 17th or 24th). Tryouts typically fill up so the earlier you sign up for a date, the better. You must try out for the location you wish to practice at. PW has swimmers at the Kennedy Shriver location, Rockville location and Olney location. If you would like to connect with one of the families who attends a specific location, please let me know and I am happy to put you in touch with someone whose swimmers swim there.

Don't forget the deadline to order a Division H shirt is this Thursday at 11:59pm.
