Hello Demon Families! The 2023 season is underway! We will send a swim team email every weekend about the events in the upcoming week and another reminder email every Thursday. These emails are full of important information and details so please read carefully.

Practice Times

Practice times have shifted for new 7-8 year olds only. Those 7-8 year olds who practiced at 5:30-6:00 last week will now practice from 6:00-7:00.  

Team Social - Friday, June 9 at 7:00pm
Join your teammates in making age group flags and learning team cheers for Time Trials on Saturday!

T-shirts and Personalized Caps Pick-up- Friday, June 9, 4:30-7:30pm

If you registered before May 1st and did not pick up your t-shirts, they will be available on Friday June 9th. If you registered between May 1-May 30, your t-shirts will be available before the team photo.  Please look for that information late next week.  If you ordered personalized caps, you can pick those up on Friday as well!  Please look for a table with Deb Young.  Regular swim PW caps will be available to be purchased as well for $15 a cap at the same table/  Cash or Venmo are accepted.

Time Trials are THIS SATURDAY, June 10, 2023 

It’s the official start to swim meet season! Time Trials is an inner-squad meet where swimmers establish base times for the season and get to “practice” swimming in a meet. If you haven’t done so already, please sign your swimmer(s) up for Time Trials by NOON on Thursday, June 8. (Instructions on how to sign your swimmer(s) up are on the website HERE and at the bottom of this email)

If your swimmer will NOT be attending Time Trials, please indicate "not attending" in the meet sign up. Also, if you are not sure which strokes to sign your swimmer up to swim, make your best guess and Jonny will make the final decision when creating the line up.

Swim team registration dues MUST BE PAID in order for your swimmer(s) to practice, swim in Time Trials and meets as well as participate in swim team events.

Time Trials Details

Please arrive at Potomac Woods at 7:15am

Warm Ups: 7:30am

Timer and Officials Meetings: 7:30am (If you signed up to be a timer or official, you must attend the meeting!)

Meet Start: 8:00am

Concession Stand Time Trials start bright and early Saturday morning!! Don't worry about rushing to pack snacks or stopping to get coffee. The snack bar will be open and new this year we will be selling fresh egg sandwiches!!  We will also be  selling Starbucks Coffee, Milk, Krispy Kreme Donuts, Bethesda Bagels, Water, Gatorade, Soda, and other assorted goodies. Payment can be made with cash or via Venmo.
