Hello, Potomac Woods Swim Team and PreTeam Families! 

The 2023 summer swim season is just a few days away! Here are some reminders and information for the season:

Swim Team Regular Season: Monday, May 29 through Tuesday, July 19.

PreTeam Season: Monday, June 5 through Friday, July 14.

Little Demons Season: Monday, June 19 through Friday, July 14.

Your swimmer may NOT practice, swim in meets or receive the team t-shirt until payment is received in full.

Swim Team Kickoff and Parent Meeting – MONDAY, May 29 from 8:30 – 11:00 a.m.

• New Swimmer Evaluations 8:30 – 9:00 a.m.
• Pick up Team T-shirts: 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.
• Purchase team caps: 9:00- 10:30 a.m ($15 each, check, cash or Venmo)
• 1st Swim Team Practice (All Ages) 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. (Must be paid in full to practice!!)
• Parent Meeting and Team Potluck 10:15 – 11:00 a.m.
  • Families with last names beginning with A - L please bring Breakfast Food (bagels and cream cheese, baked goods, casseroles, etc. – store bought is fine!)
  • Families with last names beginning with M - S please bring Cut up Fruit
  • Families with last names beginning with T - Z please bring a case of Bottled Water
• Sharon Sutton will be on the mic and playing music all morning!

Team T-shirts

Members that are PAID IN FULL may pick up their team t-shirts at the Swim Team Kickoff. Those that registered after May 1, 2023 cannot be guaranteed a t-shirt or the size requested. A second order of shirts will be here in mid June for those that registered after May 1.  The team will be wearing these shirts for the team picture on June 16th so please make sure to put your swimmer's name in it and keep it somewhere safe!

Meet Sign Up and Volunteering

Time Trial jobs and meet entries are OPEN. Please visit our website to sign your swimmers up to swim and sign yourselves up to volunteer. There are still jobs open for Time Trials! Meet sign up instructions are on the website (Meet Sign Up Calendar Tab, Sign Up Instructions). Job and meet entries for the rest of the meets will open early next week, after Monday's parent meeting.

Swim Topia App

Please consider downloading the SwimTopia app. You will get app notifications if practice is canceled due to storms or an emergency at the pool. You will also be able to sign up for meets, jobs and keep track of your child's times through the app. All events for the season will also be in there as well.
