Hello, PW Swim Team Families!

Our first swim meet of the 2021 season is TOMORROW MORNING!! If you have signed up to participate in the meet, please arrive to PW at 7:15. The Officials and Timers Meetings will begin around 7:30. Swimmer warm ups start at 7:30 and the meet begins at 8:00.

Coach Jonny will be sending final entries later today.

If you have signed up to volunteer, THANK YOU! If you have not, please head over to our team website and do so. We have several positions to fill before the meet can begin. I know a lot of you are new to the swimming world so I have added descriptions of the positions we need filled below:

• Head Timer – Starts two watches at the start of every race and checks for timers that need a replacement watch. Instructs timers to clear their watches before the start of each race. Ensures that all three timers are back at each lane after switching ends or after breaks.
• Assistant Head Timer - Starts two watches at the start of every race and checks for timers that need a replacement watch. Assists the Head Timer.
• Timer – (3 per lane) Uses a stopwatch (provided by their team) to time each swimmer in their lane in each event. Starts a watch with the sight of the flash of the starter machine. Stops their watch when any part of the swimmer’s body touches the wall. One timer will write all three timer’s times on the timer sheet for their lane.
• Automation Scorer/Verifier – Receives completed timer sheets for each event from the runner. Reads times from timer sheet to the Computer Operator to be entered in the computer. Reviews results printed by the computer operator to ensure they are correct; comparing them to the original timer sheets.

The PW Snack Bar will be OPEN and selling Krispy Kreme donuts, Ize's bagels, Starbucks coffee, fruit, snacks and beverages.

Team T-shirts and Apparel – Will be available for pick up by the Snack Bar once the meet starts.

Team Swim Caps - Will be available for purchase for $15 cash or check from Swim Team Committee members.
