Week 6 Information
Our 2019 Season is coming to an end… I am looking forward to celebrating with everyone at the banquet Saturday night. We have a very busy week ahead – please read carefully!
Practice Times:
- Monday – Thursday: Normal practice times (NO practice Tuesday or Wednesday p.m.)
- Friday morning: 8-9:15 am – All Ages Combined Practice (Team Breakfast to immediately follow)
- Friday evening: 5-6:00 p.m.- All Ages Combined Practice (normal)
B Relay Carnival! (All swimmers – SO much fun!)
- AWAY this Tuesday, July 16 at Country Glen
- Please take a moment to declare your swimmer’s availability so Jonny can formulate relays.
- Sign-ups CLOSE Sunday, July 14 at NOON
- Arrive by: 5:40 p.m.
- Warmups: No warm-ups
- Meet Start: 6:00 p.m.
- Country Glen will have food available for purchase at their concession stand
- Meet Theme: Hawaiian and Pirates
- RAIN DATE is Wednesday, July 17 – same details as above
BONUS B Meet – (ALL swimmers! Let’s support Woodley Gardens!!)
- Wednesday, July 17, 2019 HOME versus Woodley Gardens
- Woodley Gardens lost their pool to a fire this winter and are borrowing our pool for their final B meet of the season (or ever?)
- This meet is considered unofficial, is post season and times do NOT count towards the ladder or Divisionals lineup
- Sign-ups CLOSE Monday, July 15 at NOON
- Sign up to volunteer in the snack bar or to set up chairs before the meet starts
- This is also the rain date for our B Relay carnival. If B Relay Carnival is rained out on the 16th, we will attend the rain date for B Relays and NOT the Bonus B Meet.
- Arrive by: 4:45 p.m.
- Warm-ups: 5:00 p.m.
- Meet Start: 6:00 p.m.
- Meet Theme: Go, Woodley Gardens – Black and Gold
- The PW Concession Stand (Thank you, Jenn Anschutz and Susannah Alberino!) will be open and selling Chick Fil A sandwiches and nuggets, Paisano’s Pizzas as well as the usual snack bar food.
Friday Morning Team Breakfast – Go, PW Divisionals Swimmers!!
- Friday, July 19 at 9:15 a.m.
- Join your teammates and coaches for our last Friday morning Team Breakfast of the 2019 season.
- A very special PANCAKE breakfast will be served. There is no cost but donations are appreciated.
- Please sign up to volunteer and donate food
- Thank you to Suzanne Smith for stepping up to help!
A Meet – DIVISIONALS Championships (Select Swimmers)
- Saturday, July 20 at River Falls 8:00 a.m.
- Sign-ups have CLOSED
- Congrats to our Swimmers that will be representing Potomac Woods at the 2019 Divisonals Meet!! Come on out to cheer them on!
- I will have more meet details (warm ups, parking, etc.) for you after the Division meeting tonight.
PW Swim Team Banquet
- Saturday, July 20 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
