Week 5 Swim Team Information

Congrats to our PW Demons for their victory over Darnestown in yesterday’s A Meet! The meet was fun and exciting and we enjoyed celebrating our graduating seniors. Thank you to Jenn Anschutz and Susannah Alberino for organizing the Team Lunch and always keeping our hungry demon families fed at the Snack Bar.

Week 5 Information

B Meet (All swimmers) – AWAY Wednesday, July 10 at Country Glen

  • Please take a moment to declare your swimmer’s attendance, sign up for the events they would like to swim and then sign up to volunteer
  • Sign-ups CLOSE Monday, July 8 at 6:00 p.m.
  • Remember, if your swimmer is seeded first or second on the ladder in an event, please refrain for from signing them up for those events.
  • Arrive by: 5:00 p.m.
  • Warmups: 5:20 p.m.
  • Officials and Timers Meetings: 5:30ish
  • Meet Start: 6:00 p.m.
  • The Country Glen Snack Bar will be open
  • Meet Theme: Western! Bust out your chaps and cowboy boots!! Yee haw!

Congratulations on Qualifying for the Coaches Long Course Meet!

  • Tuesday, July 9 at 6 p.m. at Rockville Swim and Fitness Center – Come cheer on our Demons!
  • Erin Gemmell will be representing Potomac Woods in the 100 free and 100 fly events!
  • Connor McCullough will be representing PW in the 50 free and possibly 50 fly events!

Team Social – Friday, July 12 at 6 p.m.

  • DESSERT BAKEOFF!!
  • Bring your famous dessert, portioned to be shared and ready to be judged by the coaches and your peers
  • Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 favorite desserts!
  • We will celebrate our PreTeamers during the social

Friday Morning Team Breakfast

  • Join your teammates and coaches for Friday morning Team Breakfast this Friday, July 12 at 9:00. Breakfast foods will be served for a nominal fee. The coaches will announce the Swimmers of the Week, Spirit and Time Dropper Award Winners as well as the A meet lineup. Thank you to Sarah Kerchner and Laura Raimond for coordinating the team breakfasts.

  • Please declare your swimmers’ availability for this Saturday’s A Meet!
  • Sign-ups CLOSE Thursday, July 11 at NOON
